If you are an undergraduate student who is interested in a career in cybersecurity, or maybe just would like to increase your knowledge of cybersecurity, you may consider joining the (ISC)² Gauteng Chapter as an intern member and the best part of it is membership is FREE to undergraduate students.
(ISC)² stands for International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium.
Whew!!! that is a long name but I had to explain it just once. 🙂
(ISC)² has Chapters around the world promoting a safer cyberspace.
(ISC)² offers the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) Certification which is widely known in the cybersecurity community as one of the most sought after certifications. One of the biggest challenges of getting into the field of cybersecurity is not knowing what is currently relevant in the field. Cybersecurity is an ever-changing career and will never be exactly the same each year.
Why should I become a member?
By being an (ISC)² Gauteng Chapter intern member, you will be able to access members-only content provided by the chapter, access the chapter’s member blog as well as get invited to events hosted by the chapter. This will give you the chance to network with passionate people within the cybersecurity space and gain knowledge from people who are experts in the field.
How do I join?
(ISC)² Gauteng Chapter has made it easy to become an intern member for students and the online signup process is quick – just no criminal record, a short brief to the membership chair as to why you’d like to join and proof that you are a student (upload proof of registration or student card).
I would love to see you involved in our upcoming events and you can email me anytime to find out more.
